Peel the asparagus thoroughly. Steam them in about ten
minutes, depending on their thickness. Allow to cool off
completely. Roll them up in pairs in slices of cooked ham.
Wash the iceberg lettuce and chop the leaves. Cut a cucumber
unpeeled into slices. Boil the eggs, let them cool off completely
and cut them in slices. Boil potatoes. Let them cool off
completely. Divide them into wedges and mix them in a bowl
with mayonnaise and chopped chives.

On the plate: a bed of iceberg lettuce with the ham rolls with
